Dance Journey is a dynamic, transformative and restorative movement meditation practice that uses evocative and danceable music to practice mindfulness and presence through movement. The class is a combination of guided and unscripted movement to inspire you to get out of your mind and into your body.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone that is willing to move and interested in exploring the power of movement and music in a welcoming environment. You don’t need to be a dancer. There is no way to do this wrong. There are no steps to learn. This dance practice is about exploring our own unique movement, about being present in ourselves to discover our own internal choreography as a source of guidance and inspiration in our lives.  A way to learn from from dance, rather than to learn to dance.

WHAT TO WEAR

 
Dress comfortably so that you can move. Dance in bare feet. Socks with rubber grips are acceptable if the floor is not slippery. If you require foot support, wear dance shoes or clean running shoes. Bring water and a towel if you tend to perspire while moving/dancing.

Barbara Richard has been a follower of authentic movement and conscious dance meditation practices for 25+ years and loves nothing better than to share the practice with others and connect through movement and dance. She leads Dance Journey sessions in San Francisco and is also available for leading groups in your location.
